Gluten-Free Diet’s Action Against Autism
Statistics show that about 500,000 people in the United States have been diagnosed with autism. On the other hand, studies show that the inability to break down and process food and nutrients adversely affect some of children’s neurological processes leading to autism.

Thus, it is very important that you read the labels of the items that you purchase. Some examples of these unexpected gluten-carrying foods are licorice, soy sauce, vinegar, some flavorings, several processed foods, cold cuts, soups which are preserved, and still many others. Some pharmaceutical products also contain gluten as binders. Gathering of enough information is indeed very essential if you really want to help your child with autism.
The food and nutrients that the body take in as well as the way they are absorbed and processed play a major in the overall health of any person. One should really be conscious about his diet. This should be the case most especially for those kids with autism. Their parents and caretakers must make sure that they are eating what is appropriate for them.
